I’m Alura — a boudoir photographer and mom of three who knows what it’s like to lose sight of yourself.
My own boudoir experience reminded me of the importance of seeing yourself outside the role of “mom”. and now I help women (especially mothers) reconnect with their confidence and remember their worth.
My first boudoir experience was a DIY shoot, and even though it was far from professional, it had a big impact on how I saw myself. I realized this wasn’t just about pretty pictures; it was about remembering the parts of me I thought had faded and feeling powerful in my own skin again. That spark is what led me to create a space where other women could experience the same thing.
Over the years, I’ve photographed more than 70 women, each with their own story, insecurities, and strengths. Every session reminds me why I do this: there’s nothing like watching someone go from nervous and unsure to radiating confidence right in front of me. It’s more than photography; it’s a transformation you can feel.
And when I’m not in the studio? You’ll probably find me curled up with a good book, working on a crochet project, or chasing after my kids in the backyard. I love spontaneous art projects, coffee that stays hot long enough to drink, and trying my best to keep my small plant collection alive.
I can’t wait to meet you, hear your story, and create something together that makes you see yourself the way I do — beautiful, strong, and absolutely worth celebrating.

As the head of a hand-selected team of skilled artists, Rebecca brings both expertise and positive energy to every session. When you're in her chair, you can expect a stress-free, luxury experience—and a look that enhances your natural beauty while boosting your confidence in front of the camera.

Meet Lauren, our Associate Photographer at Alura Danu Boudoir. Lauren will only step in to photograph sessions in the rare event of a last-minute emergency, so your experience can go on without interruption.
While I’ll still handle all communication and editing personally, Lauren is someone I trust completely to reflect the same care, style, and supportive energy that define the Alura Danu experience. She shares our core values of uplifting women and creating a safe, empowering space, and she’ll be there not just as a photographer—but as a calm, comforting presence.
Outside of this role, Lauren runs Fox & Fable Photography, where she brings storytelling and nostalgia to life through family portraits. She's a creative spirit who finds joy in books, coffee, and connecting deeply with others—and I’m so lucky to have her on this team.

Meet Mary, one of our Hair and Makeup Artists here at Alura Danu Boudoir. With over 30 years in the beauty industry, Mary brings a wealth of experience, artistry, and passion to every session.
Her work spans runway shows like NYFW and Miami Swim Week, magazine features, independent films, and even Times Square billboards—but what she loves most is working one-on-one with clients to help them feel beautiful, confident, and seen.
As the founder of Makeup By MV and the owner of a salon in Avon, NJ, Mary is a true professional with a calming presence and a creative eye. She’s here to help bring your personal vision to life—revealing your unique beauty, one brushstroke at a time.
